Now that drywall is up at our Yerba Santa Aveue Residence, we can see the cove lighting detail along the edge of the ceiling. LED strips will be tucked up into the cove, to give a nice glow to the walls. We can't wait to see it in action!
I was so excited to find this X on the exterior wall of our Kelton Avenue residence. Its functional, but pretty.
Our Middlefield Road Residence bathroom was featured in a French Houzz article titled "8 combinaisons de couleurs pour booster votre salle de bains", which rougly translates to "8 Color Combinations to Boost Your Bathroom". It's definitely true that the dark-to-light gradation of tile color helps diffuse the intensity of the dark blue floor. Also, using the same tile on the floor and the walls is a little trick we use to make a small bathroom feel much bigger.
Our clients were a big contributor to the playfulness of this project's overall aesthetic, and we're so pleased to see that other people like it, too!
This is a mechanical screw jack, but its so pretty amidst all of the wood at our Kelton Avenue Residence.
One of Hiromi's Inspiration images just won the Judges' Commendation Award through the AIA National Photography Competition!
Her photo titled "Insertion" of the Chatham Dockyard will be on display at the AIA national conference in Orlando at the end of this month, and will also be featured on the AIA national website. Woot!
