WHO WE ARE

Nothing makes us happier than creating a beautiful environment that is truly custom and carefully tailored for you. We start by listening to you, getting to know your communication style, and helping to prioritize your goals. Our personal, collaborative process, with full architectural and interior design services, means that you can wholeheartedly enjoy the experience. We will be by your side every step of the way, paying close attention to every detail—from the first design sketch until you move into your newly completed space.

We have a deep understanding of how homes work. Ogawa Fisher Architects has over 20 years of experience successfully executing detail-oriented projects. We use a modern design language to form spaces that are warm, joyful, light-filled, and timeless: a backdrop on which personal and intimate moments can unfold. Our process is anchored by a thoughtful schematic design process, continues through design development and documentation, and is brought to life through hands-on construction observation. As a diverse and international design team, we find inspiration in nature, art, music, good design, beautiful objects, humor, and delicious food.

We are problem solvers who develop a unique solution for each project based on site, program, context, and budget. We consider the entire space and surroundings, short and long-term goals, natural light, indoor-outdoor connection, relationships between spaces, and smart, intuitive storage solutions, while deftly navigating the complexities of local planning and building agencies. We believe in incorporating resiliency and green building principles in every project, wherever possible.

The magic happens when we combine this expertise with your vision for your home. What do you love? What does your new space mean to you?

Bring us your dreams, ideas, and questions, and together let’s make it happen.

WE ARE PASSIVE HOUSE DESIGNERS

What is Passive House Design?
“A Passive House is more than just a low-energy building.” - Passipedia.org, The Passive House Resource

A Passive House, in its simplest form, is a building standard that is truly energy efficient. These structures not only reduce heating and cooling-related energy consumption by up to 90%, but also significantly cut down on greenhouse gas emissions. With an air-tight, smoke-tight design and the omission of thermal bridges, these homes maintain a superior indoor air quality. At its core, a Passive House is designed to be comfortable, affordable, and environmentally friendly, making them a win-win for both you and the planet.

Here at Ogawa Fisher Architects, our mission has always been to design timeless and joyful homes tailored to your unique needs and aspirations.

By integrating Passive House principles, our talented, passionate team of architects and designers can further build upon this mission by offering cleaner and more comfortable living.
